Financial Institutions in Promoting Financial Inclusion, Indicators of
Financial Inclusion, Dimensions of Financial Inclusion, Financial Inclusion: A
Global Perspective, Financial Inclusion in India, Role of RBI in Financial
Inclusion, Profile of Haryana State in India in view of Financial Inclusion,
Evolution of Financial Inclusion with special reference to India, Measures
Taken by RBI and Government of India under Financial Inclusion Programmes,
Current Status of Financial Inclusion in India, Reason for the Research and
Research Structure. The chapter briefly describes the perspective of Financial
Inclusion in around the world, India and Haryana and its impact on rural poor.
The second chapter titled ‘Review of Literature’ covers research work carried
out by various researchers in the field of financial inclusion in general and
rural population in particular.

 

The chapter three has presented the rationale,
objectives and hypotheses of the study. The chapter four titled ‘Research
Methodology’ consists of Introduction, Research Design, Statement of Problem,
Research Paradigms, Research Approach, Sample Design, Size and Selection,
Research Tools, Pilot Study, Respondents Population, Procedure, Data
Collection, Data Analysis and Limitations of the study. The fifth chapter titled
‘Data Analysis and Interpretation’ is divided into seven sections i.e. Demographic
Profile of Respondents (Users), Awareness of Rural People about Financial
Services and Products, Frequency of Availing the Financial Products/Services,
Satisfaction Level towards the Financial Products/Services, Reason for Using
the Banking Facilities and Factors Considered While Selecting and Transacting
with the Banks are the sub point of users. Demographic Profile of Respondents
(Non-Users) and Reasons for not availing the Financial Products/Services is the
second point. The third point is related to reasons for dormancy in No
Frills Accounts. The fourth point describe the Profile of Bank Managers,
Details on Financial Inclusion, Difficulties faced by banks while adopting
financial inclusion, Factors Responsible for the Current Status of Financial
Inclusion, Banks Strategies for the Progress of Financial Inclusion. Test of
Hypothesis, Extent and Coverage of Financial Inclusion and Findings as per
objectives are other points of chapter.

The chapter six is divided into three parts-
summary, conclusion and recommendations. The summary of the complete thesis is
presented in this chapter. The conclusions have been drawn in the light of the
objectives and salient findings. The recommendations made to take care of the
observations based on the experiences gathered during the work. The
propositions have been made to explore all those dimensions of the field of the
study which could not be covered under the scope of the present work.

The chapter seven deals with Implication of the
study for the practitioners and researchers in the area of financial in
general. The references have been presented in a standard format followed by an
appendix having a sample questionnaire used for the data collection and glossary
of terms.
